Sprayguard

Sprayguard can be used safely to clean and sanitise any surface, filter or water/rainwater container.. The antimicrobial agent within the formulation continues to work for an extended period of time. Treated surfaces prohibit the growth of bacteria upon contact reducing the risk of contamination and the spread of pathogens, producing a cleaner and safer environment. Sprayguard can be used to prohibit the growth of rainwater discolouring algae on the internal surfaces of not only water butts, rainwater harvesting tanks both above ground and under ground, but also filters, rainwater diverters, calmed inlets and supply pipes. One application of Sprayguard can last for up to twelve months giving a cost effective alternative to expensive, long term and less environmentally beneficial products.

Hand siphon pump.

The RainCatcher Hand Siphon Pump is an easy-to-use system for draining Water Butts, baths and other rainwater harvesting devices. Just a few squeezes of the quality rubber bulb, the system runs by itself draining a bath or Water Butt in minutes.
The RainCatcher Hand Siphon is 3m long and connects directly to your garden hose so you can water your garden from your Water Butt or recycled bath water. It can be used immediately.
How does it work?
The RainCatcher Hand Siphon uses a siphon effect so that the water from your bath will run automatically from your bath or Water Butt into your hose. The only condition is that your garden must be at a lower level than the source of water. A few squeezes of the pump will start the flow. Then you can watch the water flow onto your garden, saving your plants.
Can I use it in my bungalow?
Your garden must be lower than the water source – at least 10”. The water flow is faster the bigger the height between source and end of the hose. With only a few inches, the bath could take some time to empty.
Can I use it in an area with a Drought Order or Hosepipe Ban?
Yes, you can use the RainCatcher Hand Siphon connected to a garden hose to water your garden, wash your car, fill a Water Butt or even empty a paddling pool, so long as you are using recycled waste water: such as used water from a bath, shower, sink or Water Butt.
Can I use it to wash my car?
Yes, it is both safe and legal to use the RainCatcher Hand Siphon to wash your car.
Can I fill or empty my Water Butt with the RainCatcher Hand Siphon?
Yes, the average Water Butt has a capacity of approximately 200L: the equivalent of around four baths. The RainCatcher Hand Siphon is also an ideal substitute for a Water Butt. You should not store recycled water for too long in a butt, and not more than 24hrs in hot weather.
Is it safe for my plants?
There is a long established history of using grey water for watering plants. In many countries, especially in North America and Australia, it is a regular occurrence. All the research we have seen says that bath water is perfectly safe for plants and lawns.
Can I buy a longer RainCatcher Hand Siphon?
All RainCatcher Hand Siphon Pumps can be extended by connecting any length of garden hose. We send out 3m of hose with a hose connector fitted as standard.
